"SPINSTER" by PENNY IKINGER with DONOVAN'S BRAIN

My travels as a solo artist began when my debut solo album Electra was released on CD by Career Records, (Bozeman, Montana, USA) in 2004. The label was the brainchild of musician, sound engineer, producer and Career Records’ Director of A & R, Ron Sanchez, and the legendary guitarist and songwriter from Radio Birdman, Deniz Tek. I made the trek over to Bozeman to play shows in Montana and on the North-West coast with Ron Sanchez’s Montana based psychedelic rock collective Donovan’s Brain as my backing band for our “Mini Van of Stars” tour, which also included Roy Loney and The Longshots and SGT. Major from Seattle. This track "Spinster" was originally released on my Electra album and featured Brian Henry Hooper on bass and Shamus Goble on drums. This particular version on "Travels and Travails" was recorded with Montana based psych rock band Donovan's Brain. Hold onto your hats - I play a 3 minute guitar solo on this recording!
