The ‘Fragile" E.P. features 3 songs - Fragile; Memories Remain and All Tomorrow's Parties (Velvet Underground cover). Each CD is individually numbered. The Tracks 'Fragile' and 'Memories Remain' also appear on Penny Ikinger's album 'Penelope" (2010).

Highlights on this E.P. include a blazing guitar solo from Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman), a smoky duet with Ron Peno (Died Pretty) and legendary Charlie Owen’s debut appearance playing sitar. Not to mention some sizzling contributions from Melbourne music legends Dave Graney and Clare Moore and French musicians Dimi Dero and Vinz Guilluy.

2009 saw the release of the E.P 'Fragile' and a tour of France and Spain plus shows in Berlin, Melbourne and Sydney for Penny Ikinger.

‘Fragile’ was chosen as Song of the Year 2009 in the prestigious French magazine Rock and Folk (January 2010) and received airplay in France, Denmark, Austria, Spain and Australia.

    REVIEWS:

"She is a timeless guitar goddess...the Stooges rattle pop of the title track spirals up in the manner beloved by enthusiasts and a feedback over-flowing of Lou’s/Nico’s ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’ with sitar is quite lysergically brilliant". Drum Media (Australia).

"Aussie noise darling Penny Ikinger is out with a 3 track EP teaser for her next album Penelope...Last time around Simon here at Lowcut almost wet his pants - and yes, she is a darling....’Fragile’ a sweet pop song ...topped by a beautiful guitar solo. ‘Memories Remain’ is a slow noise drenched duet...with Ron Peno. What a tease..."Lowcut Magazine (Denmark).

"The latest from Melbourne’s electric chanteuse fairly sizzles...’Fragile’ starts off sweet and luscious, but wait til she hits the fuzz pedal about a minute in...while closing track, a cover of ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’, may be the song Ikinger was born to sing..."Mess & Noise webzine (Australia)
    "
"A crackin' little 3-track limited edition (of 500) taster EP by Penny Ikinger...Ms I’s credentials put her in the antipodean rock first division. The sitar-centric Traffic-like take on ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’ gives the song a crucial twist...some serious rock action squalling through and around the basic classic chassis". The Next Big Thing webzine (USA)

‘Memories Remain’ couples Penny and Ron Peno in a dark, swirling vocal folk dance...an inspired partnership. ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’ is well rendered with Charlie Owen’s sitar perfectly placed as a foil to Penny’s petulant guitar....Lou Reed might be too up himself to pass judgement but John Cale would probably approve.**** four stars i-94 bar webzine (Australia)

defies easy comparison and definition. With her iconic
guitar, the Pennycaster, she is a fuzz queen, sonic
